This course provides an introduction to geologic time; the principles of reconstructing the past, and the meaning of fossils; the physical history of Earth from its cosmic beginning to the present, with emphasis on North America, including the problems of continental drift and secretion of continents, and the history of life. This course is primarily for science majors. Prerequisites: GEOL 1121, GLAB 1121 or permission of the instructor.
