This course provides a calculus-based introduction to mechanics and thermodynamics. Subject matter includes: conditions of equilibrium, translational and rotational motion, Newton's laws of motion, gravitation, work, energy, harmonic oscillations, laws of thermodynamics, and simpler applications. Prerequisites: MATH 2201; PHYS 1112 or permission of the instructor. Corequisite: PLAB 221.
