(Prerequisites: SUR 203 and SUR 213. Corequisites: SUR 204 and SUR 224. ) Provides opportunity for students to complete all required surgical technology procedures through active participation in surgery in the clinical setting. Topics include: primary scrub on specialty surgical procedures, participation as a surgical team conducting ophthalmic, orthopedic, thoracic, vascular, cardiovascular, and neurosurgery procedures, independent case preparation and implementation of intraoperative skills, and demonstration of employability skills.
