Prerequisite: Placement Exam This course emphasizes the continued development of reading and writing skills and use of more complex grammatical structures through content-based reading and writing activities. Students increase their understanding of vocabulary and idioms using a variety of written materials. Students learn to combine sentences to produce meaningful and well-organized paragraphs. The use of the library and its facilities is presented. Students improve their ability to listen and speak through guided models that reinforce comprehension.
