Class hours: 1.5 Lecture/2.5 Laboratory This course introduces students to oxy-acetylene, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), stick arc, and pressure resistance welding. It is designed for the student who is presently employed in the automotive field. Related technical subjects include safety, testing of weld joints, design, strength of materials, process selection, cutting methods and metals identification. A major focus of this course is to prepare students to complete the I-CAR GMAW Certification Test.
