Class hours: 2.0 Lecture/4.0 Laboratory Prerequisite: ART 130A or ART 232 or ART 237 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This is a course in the history, theories, techniques, and practice of portrait painting. Creative imagination, color, space, and pictorial structure are included in the study of the portrait. Live models will be used. The student has the option of working in any drawing or painting medium. This course may be taken for a maximum of 2 times. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC
