2 credits quarters: This course assists the student in recognizing the symptoms of stress, the physiological and psychological factors which cause it, and how to control it. Understanding stress assists the student in being aware of it when it occurs, what triggers stress, and how to reduce or eliminate it. Techniques for controlling stress are applied to employment, education, and the home environment. A special emphasis is placed on the types of stress most commonly affecting women. Students work on an individual basis to apply techniques to solve their own stressful situations.
