6 credits quarters: F, W, S, SR This theory course examines nursing care of selected individuals throughout the lifespan experiencing multidimensional alterations in the various body systems. The nursing process serves as the organizing framework for study of nursing care. The concepts of communication, lifespan, legal/ethical issues, pharmacology, nutrition, leadership, safety, health teaching, and culture are integrated throughout as a means of promoting adaptation and wellness. Prerequisite: BIOL 109, 230, and 231. Corequisites: BIOL 232, CHEM 100, and PTECH 115.
