(Formerly MATH 102: The Nature of Math) 5 credits quarters: F, W, S, SR For students who need quantitative skills or natural science distribution credit and are either not taking additional math courses or are interested in the topics of the course as a supplement to their math studies. The course provides an introduction to and some exploration of the following areas: finance, probability, statistics, and modeling (with graphing). Prerequisite: MATH 095 with a grade of C (2.0) or better or YVCC placement into MATH& 107. Distribution: Either QU or NS, but not both
