2 credits quarters: S The study of advanced periodontics that includes periodontal prognosis, consideration of treatment planning for periodontal surgery, referral of periodontal pathology, and supportive periodontal therapy. Further exploration of ethical issues in the practice of dental hygiene is afforded. Students will review the Washington statues for dental hygiene. Prerequisite: Completion of the first five quarters of the dental hygiene curriculum.
