2 credits quarters: W A didactic course designed to provide information to facilitate understanding of advanced concepts of periodontal pathology. Advanced periodontal information, to include the study of gingival and periodontal infections, gingival curettage, root morphology, advanced instrumentation techniques, and the management of dental implants, is also presented. Prerequisite: Completion of the first four quarters of the dental hygiene curriculum.
