2 credits quarters: S The second of two courses that will prepare the surgical technology student to successfully participate in the National Board Certification Examination. The course will review concepts relating to surgical technology including surgery in all specialities with an emphasis on test-taking strategies and skills. Topics covered will include general, obstetric, gynecologic, genitourinary, head and neck, plastic and reconstructive, orthopedic, neurologic, opthalmic, thoracic, cardiac, and vascular surgery. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Surgical Technology Program and concurrent enrollment in or successful completion of AHMA 210 and 211 with a grade of C (2.0) or batter.
