3 credits quarters: W The purpose of this course is to acquaint students with methodologies and models of analysis appropriate for studying youth subcultures. Focusing on the origins, styles, and histories of the punk, skinhead, and mod subcultures, particular attention is paid to the popular contention that youth subcultures represent a response to various historic, social, economic, and generational circumstances. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL& 101 or READ 101 or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 075 or DVREA 081, 082, or 083. ART 100: See ART& 100
