Topics include terminology, action,use and modes of administration of drugs and anesthetic agents, side effects and contraindications, factors that influence anesthesia selection, identification of monitoring devices; complications related to anesthesia and possible interventions; transfer of drugs from nonsterile to sterile areas, and care and precaution in identifying drugs and solutions in the operating room. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Surgical Technology Program
