8 credits quarters: S The goal of the pharmacy externship course is to provide student exposure to community-based practice to develop competence as a pharmacy technician. Students will be assigned to a retail and/or hospital pharmacy to practice pharmacy technician skills under the supervision of a facility-designated preceptor. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Pharmacy Technician Program and completion of all required allied health core courses and pharmacy technician courses with a grade of C (2.0) or better; concurrent enrollment in AHPT 203
