Designed to improve students' skills of communication for everyday situations. Topics include self-awareness, listening, nonverbal communication, semantics, group process, and resolution of conflict. Students learn to communicate in a manner that leads to healthy personal adjustment and personal relationships; they acquire skills important in obtaining employment and advancing in a career; they make public presentations; they gain understanding and appreciation of other cultures.
