9 credits quarters: SR The goal of this course is to provide student exposure to community-based practice in order to develop competence as a surgical technologist in the scrub role. Students will be assigned to a surgical suite to practice scrub tech skills under the supervision of a facility-designated preceptor. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Surgical Technology Program and completion of all required allied health core courses and surgical technology courses with a grade of C (2.0) or better; concurrent enrollment in AHST 202
