Prerequisite: MATH 1314, CHEM 1411 or 1405/1405L, NURS 2375, 2471. Techniques of safe medication administration, including calculations, terminology, route/site selection and manipulation of peripheralintravenous delivery systems. Nursing knowledge required for understanding concepts of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacotherapeutics and pharmacodynamics with patients across the life span. Focus will be on the role of the nurse as the provider of care. Course fee $30.
