Prerequisite: 6487, 6488, 6489. Guided practice with a qualified preceptor in the role of family nurse practitioner in a clinical setting of the student's choice. Focus on health maintenance and promotion and health restoration of chronic conditions and minor illness. Weekly clinical conferences will provide students with a forum to discuss issues related to clinical practice ;and gain information related to the business aspects of clinical practice. 180 practicum hours. Course fee $50.
