Prerequisite: MATH 1314 or 1316 or 1324 or 2412 or 2413. Introduction to concepts of economic analysis applied to engineering problems. Topics include cost and design comparison, time value of money, comparison of alternatives, depreciation and tax implications, economic evaluation of projects, risk and uncertainty, replacement analysis and capital financing. Same as ECON 3302. Spring. Course fee $20.
