Prerequisite: 1301 and 1302 and equivalent; demonstrated computer competency. Advanced look at the theory and practice of document design. Students will consider issues such as page layout, use of space and negative space, font selection, page balancing and focal points. Attention also will be given to document editing and collaborative writing. Major assignments will include production of designs for a number of document types, such as fliers, proposals, announcements, résumés and business reports.Fall, spring.
