Prerequisite: MATH 1316 or 2412. Introduction to the foundations of discrete mathematics as they apply to computer science, focusing on a solid theoretical foundation for further work. Topics include functions, relations, sets, simple proof techniques, Boolean algebra, propositional logic, digital logic, elementary number theory and the fundamentals of counting. Same as MATH 2321.
