Instills a deeper understanding of the people and cultures of the biblical world. It examines the manners and customs of daily life in both the Old and New Testaments and investigates the archaeological discoveries pertaining to biblical lands, to enrich understanding and appreciation of the Bible's message. Classroom presentations and personal research increase appreciation of the background picture into which the people and events of the Bible fit. May also be taken as ANTH 351.
