Music methods and practical experiences for the teaching of beginning instrumental music in a classroom setting in the public schools. Emphasis on management, discipline, and motivational strategies. Will include the study of all brass, woodwind, percussion and string instruments andmaterials and instructional strategies appropriate for this level of instrumental instruction. This course is required prior to enrollment in AMUS 114c, 115c, 116c, or 117c for all-level music education majors.
