Prerequisites: READ 0302, ENGL 0301 A discussion of management of the specifi c problems of trade shows and exhibitions, including design, construction, and regulation. Logistics for planning events, including crowd control, special effects, lighting, decorations and audio. Procedures for conducting fairs, festivals, sports events, and grand openings. Identify the elements in an exposition opening and closing and discuss the elements in an exposition/trade show security plan; create a communications and emergency management plan for on-site operations. Identify key operational issues in management of a trade show or special event; and create an event planning time line.
