Prerequisites: VNSG 1420, 1304, 1133, 1116, 1227, 1331, 1323, 1160, 2331, 1161, 1429, 2260, 1432, 2261, 1330, 2160, 1334, 2161 Co-requisite: VNSG 2162 Professional Development Clinical The focus of VNSG 1391 Special Topics (Professional Growth and Development) is on the role of the licensed vocational nurse (LVN) as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team and in the management and coordination of safe effective client care. Emphasis is placed on understanding the role and function of regulatory agencies that govern the education and practice of licensed vocational nursing and the role of the LVN in professional organizations, continuing education, and license renewal.
