Prerequisite: RNSG 1301, 1215, 1327, 1162, 1343, 1261, 2213, 1262, 2201, 2208, 2261, 2262, 2221, 2231, 2260, 2263 This course focuses on application of client assessment skills, critical thinking, and independent nursing intervention to care for diverse client/ families throughout the life span whose health care needs may be diffi cult to predict. Emphasis of this course is on collaborative clinical decisionmaking, nursing leadership skills, and client management. Topics include the signifi cance of professional development, trends in nursing and health care, and applicable knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. The student is required to pass a nationally accredited exit examination. The student will be recommended to apply for the national licensing exam once course requirements have been fulfi lled.
