Prerequisite: MATH 1314 with a grade of "C" or better or equivalent.Note: Formerly MATH 1342 This course is a non-calculus introduction to statistics with computer applications. Topics include distributions, histograms, exploratory data analysis, measures of location and dispersion, elementary probability, probability functions (binomial, normal, t-distribution, and chi-square distribution), analysis of measurements (confi dence intervals and hypothesis testing), analysis of paired data (linear regression and correlation), and the use of statistical software for the analysis of data.
