Prerequisite: ELPT 1428, 1445, and 1457 or approval of Chairperson. Fees: Laboratory Instruction in preparation of estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial wiring systems. Skills development in a variety of electrical techniques. The student will list estimating procedures; organize job costs; identify types of bids; calculate cost adjustments and job costs; and demonstrate the use of estimating forms. STUDENTS WHO RECEIVED A "D" OR "F" IN FRESHMAN COMPOSITITHREE OR MORE SEMESTERS PRIOR TO THE CURRENT SEMESTER MUST TAKE THE REQUIRED ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST FOR CURRENT PLACEMENT. STUDENTS MAY NOT ENROLL IN ENGLISH 1301 UNTIL THIS REQUIREMENT HAS BEEN MET. STUDENTS WHO DESIRE TO ENROLL IN TWO LITERATURE COURSES CONCURRENTLY MUST HAVE A "B" AVERAGE AND THE APPROVAL OF THE CHAIRPERSONOF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH. ALL STUDENTS REGISTERING IN ENGLISH COURSES MUST HAVE PROOF OF HAVING MET COURSE PREREQUISITES. A student is placed in ENGL 0300/0310, 0301/0311, or 1301 according to scores made on a college placement exam, such as the Accuplacer, ASSET or THEA Test which is administered by the College. Students whose test scores indicate inadequate preparation to do satisfactory work in English 1301 must complete English 0300/0310, and/or 0301/0311 before enrolling in English 1301.
