Prerequisite: DANC 1305 World Dance I Instruction in dance forms from at least three major cultures from three continents, with an emphasis on rhythmic awareness and movement development. The cultural origins, significance, and motivation, as well as the use of costumes and music will be explored in lecture and research. Instruction will include experiential and written assignments, live performances, guest artists, and multimedia resources.
