Survey of the political, social, economic, military, cultural, and intellectual history of the United States. The course examines the historical events from the end of the Civil War to the present. Topics include Reconstruction, Expansion, Industrialization, Urbanization, Reform, American Global Power Status, the Depression, World War II, the Cold War, Demographic Change, Social Justice, and Civil Unrest.
