Basic English is a course designed to teach students to recognize and write well-formed sentences and paragraphs according to the conventions of standard edited American English. Skills emphasized in the course are correct word usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. ENGL 0301 may not be counted for local credit toward an associate degree or certificate and is not transferable. Three lecture and one laboratory hours per week. TSI Requirement: M0; R0; W0.
