Principles of physical and historical geology. Study of the earth's composition, structure, and internal and external processes. Includes the geologic history of the earth and the evolution of life. Introduces the theories of the evolution of life forms on earth. Concurrent with this study is the history of the development of landforms of North America. Lab introduces fossil identification with emphasis on fossils of Southwest Texas; also includes topographic and geologic map interpretation. Three lecture and three laboratory hours per week. TSI Requirement: M2; R2; W1. Prerequisite: None. Lab Fee: $24
