(Prerequisites: WLD 100) Introduces the major theory, techniques, and safety practices required for flux cored arc welding. Qualification tests, all positions, are used in the evaluation of student progress toward making industrial standard welds. Topics include: FCAW safety/health practices, FCAW theory, machines, set-up, wire specifications, joint design, shielding gas, and production of FCAW beads, bead patterns, and joints in all positions.
