(Prerequisite: MAT 1013) Introduces the basic concepts of physics and emphasizes the fundamentals of X-ray generating equipment. Topics include: atomic structure, structure of matter, magnetism and electromagnetism, electrodynamics, and control of high voltage and rectification, X-ray circuitry, X-ray tubes and rectifiers, production and characteristics of radiation.
