Topics include: review of immunohematology-donor unit collection and storage; pretransfusion testing; transfusion reactions, and management of diseases; clinical chemistry-carbohydrates, electrolytes, acid-base balance, nitrogenous compounds, enzymes, endocrinology, liver functions, lipids, toxicology and drug monitoring; microbiology-fundamentals and basic techniques, identification of bacteria, anti-microbial sensitivity, disease correlation to organisms, parasitology, mycology, mycobacteriology, and virology
