(Prerequisites: MAS 106, MAS 108, MAS 110, MAS 112, ENG 1010, MAT 1012, PSY 1010, AHS 1011, AHS 104, AHS 109, BUS 101, SCT 100; Corequisites: MAS 101, MAS 109, MAS 111 ) Introduces drug therapy with emphasis on safety, classification of drugs, their action, side effects, and/or adverse reactions. Also introduces the basic concept of arithmetic used in the administration of drugs. Topics include: introduction to pharmacology; calculation of dosages; sources and forms of drugs; drug classification; and drug effects on the body systems.
