This course is an overview of the normal physical, psycho-social, and cultural aspects of the aging process. It addresses common disease processes of aging and exploration of attitudes toward care of the elderly. Also covered are preventive care and restorative measures for the elderly. An emphasis is given on adaptation in the provision of nursing care to the older adult. Semester Hours: 1 Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 0 Pre- or Corequisite: Determined by campus of enrollment.
