(Prerequisites/Corequisites: BIO 2113, BIO 2114, AHS 104, CLT 101, CHM 1111, CHM 1112, MAT 1111) Develops concepts and techniques of clinical chemistry applicable to clinical laboratory technology. Topics include: carbohydrates, electrolytes and acid-base balance, nitrogenous compounds, enzymes and endocrinology, liver functions, lipids, toxicology and therapeutic drug monitoring, safety and quality control, correlation of disease states, process improvement (team approach), and critical thinking skills.
