This course addresses the utilization of the nursing process in the assessment and management of the childbearing family. This course places emphasis on the bio-psycho-socio-cultural needs of the family during the phases of pregnancy, childbirth, and the neonatal period. This course also includes the study of abnormal conditions that might be found in each phase. Semester Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Pre- or Corequisite: Determined by campus of enrollment.
