This course is an introduction to the organization and management of a fire department and the relationship of government agencies to the fire service. This course will emphasize fire service leadership from the perspective of the company officer. The student will explain the intra-organizational cooperation needed for a fire department to function properly describe fundamental management and organizational principles and demonstrate leadership and management skills at the company grade level.
