This is a course designed to help students improve proficiency in the formal English used in professional and academic settings. The course combines lecture and guided practice as it focuses on improvement of pronunciation and listening comprehension of English sounds, further vocabulary development and introduction of more complex grammatical forms in speaking, reading, and writing. Semester Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Pre-requisite: Recommendation based on assessment or satisfactory completion of DCOM 0300. Note: This course is required if testing indicates a need. Credit for this course may not be used to satisfy graduation requirements.
