This course is an extension of the introductory bass guitar course. Students will further their knowledge of the fundamentals of playing various styles of music for the bass guitar. Students will continue progressive studies reading tablature, standard notation, and learning advanced improvisational skills. Additional time will be spent on arpeggio and chord studies, walking changes, slapping, and other accompaniment techniques specific to modern bass guitar performances Semester Hours: 2 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 1 Pre-requisite: MUSP 1213 or consent of instructor.
