Topics in this class include study skills, learning strategies, goal setting, motivation and career planning. Techniques such as time management, listening and note taking, preparing for examinations and utilizing learning resources will be introduced. In addition to study skills, some basic concepts in science will also be presented. These topics include a review of math skills, the language of science, basic chemistry and cell biology. Semester Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 4 Note: This course does not satisfy graduation requirements.
