This course is a study of the concepts related to the provision of nursing care for childbearing and child rearing families; application of systematic problem-solving processes and critical thinking skills, including a focus on the childbearing family during preconception, prenatal, antepartum, neonatal, and postpartum periods and the child rearing family from birth to adolescence; and competency in knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Semester Hours: 4 Lecture Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 0 Pre-requisite: RNSG 1513, RNSG 1105, RNSG 1144, RNSG 1160, RNSG 1115, RNSG 1441, RNSG 2460, RNSG 2313, BIOL 2402, BIOL 2420 with a grade of ā€œCā€ or better in each. Note: This course lends itself to a blocked approach. This course must be taken concurrently with RNSG 2462.
