This is a study of the concepts and principles necessary to perform intermediate or advanced skills; and demonstrate competence in the performance of nursing procedures. Topics include knowledge, judgment, skills and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Semester Hours: 1 Lecture Hours: 0 Lab Hours: 4 Note: This course lends itself to a blocked approach. It is designed to expose the learner with the role of the associate degree nurse as provider of care, coordinator of care, and member of the profession. This course must be taken concurrently with RNSG 1513 and RNSG 1160.
