This course provides an introduction to water and wastewater operations and the basic skills and knowledge needed to advance in this industry. The course will provide an overview of water and wastewater treatment processes, distribution systems as well as terminology and equipment used in the wastewater and water industries. Regulations, licensing, and the certification process will be discussed as a part of this course. Laboratory techniques used in the analysis of water in water/wastewater treatment plants will be introduced.
