Provides laboratory experiences necessary for the development of skill levels required to be a competent massage therapist. The allocation of time to the various phases of massage therapy is prescribed by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy. This course includes a portion of the hours required for licensure. Topics include: professional conduct, client preparation, basic operation of a professional clinic, techniques for professional massage, safety precautions, and decontamination.
