Introduces the rules and guidelines of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding, which is utilized in the reimbursement of outpatient procedures and surgeries. Students will learn how to use the CPT coding book. Course also introduces the evaluation and management processes used for physician reimbursement and the government regulations regarding CPT coding. Prerequisite: BTEC 162 with a grade of C or better or instructor permission.
