A health-related, work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. This clinical rotation is in nursing home facilities or hospital facilities. Students in this level will be required to perform various skills on clients, such as, but not limited to, hygiene measures, foley catheter insertion, physical assessment, g-tube feedings, blood glucose monitoring, care plans, etc. Clinical experiences are unpaid external experiences. Prerequisites: BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, VNSG 1323, VNSG 1160, VNSG 1502, VNSG 1561, VNSG 1331, VNSG 1227. Corequisites: VNSG 2413, VNSG 1562, VNSG 1222. TEC.
